The Blue Heron House is owned by Amanda and Morgan Stine, who live and work in Sedona, Arizona. Morgan is a general contractor and Amanda is the chef at a small lodge in Oak Creek Canyon.

They discovered this house in the spring of 2000 and spent the next few years remodeling it.

There are plans for an additional room and bath upstairs, and eventually, a hot tub out back! In 2005, Amanda spent the months of December and January at the Blue Heron, working on her cookbook. She and Maggie (the border collie) jogged along the river, went for a beach walk every day, cooked, and wrote recipes.

The book was published in November of 05 ! Check out www.garlandslodge/cookbook.com. Although Sedona is a truly wondrous place to be, they work most of the time just to get back to Bandon and the little house on the river!
